WORK IN PROGRESS Kaleena Cote Back to the drawing board To refine my art I should have gone sooner Sidetracked by my heart I'll erase a few lines And retrace some more I'll get this thing perfect Wonder what's in store? This artwork is tricky I never know how The end result will look A few days from now And since I'm so picky I constantly doubt The quality of this How will it turn out? Sometimes I feel finished I step back and gaze Upon this creation That takes up my days And so I go elsewhere Attention goes, too But something goes wrong and So what do I do? Back to the drawing board To refine my art I can't seem to finish Sidetracked by my heart I know that this process Ain't something to flee Constant work in progress I guess 'cause it's me
