Solitary Pain By Chrissy McPhaul I am alone I am all alone in this world The wind blows across my face Sending shivers to my aching core I scream into the wind, “I am alone!  So alone!” I did not even receive an echo To satisfy my aching ears I long to hear the words “I love you” But the silence sends pain To my aching heart My heart has been broken So many many times The fractures and scars never healed Ever wounding my aching soul I cannot go on alone all alone Wandering this life With solitary footprints Tread by my aching feet
