Lost Love
by Chrissy McPhaul

As I reach the crest of the hill
I am met by the blowing wind
It carries the horrible stench
of blood shed on Valentine's Day

All of the broken hearts in the world
Gush red red blood with each pulse
I look down on the blood red fields below
They go on forever to the ends of the earth

I return to the ocean, where the crashing waves
Swallow the memories of lost love
All I can hear is the howling wind
That carries the names of lost love

I dive into the sea
Tortured by the recollection of lost love
Let the salty water
Wash away the blood red stains

Of my broken heart
BROKEN FROM LOST LOVE
