Destroyed by You
By Chrissy McPhaul

I woke up and the first thing
I saw was my small intestines
tacked up to the wall
in front of me in
strange patterns of abstraction

My large intestines
were above me
butterflied and
pinned to the ceiling

To my right
was a bucket of some
of my vital organs
on a table

On the floor
were pools
of my blood
and my capillairies
were strewn about

I looked at my chest
and saw where a hole
was burnt threw with acid
straight through to my heart

It was still beating
but barely
I could feel the breeze
of a fan blow across
my bare skull

I noticed that
my torso was
completely
empty

And markings
were made
on the rest of
my body

A plan drawn
of what
to destroy
next
